Our Fleet is increasing to meet demand
Mars-Jones Ltd has invested £210K in developing its fleet in order to accommodate growing business generated through its increasing customer portfolio.
Family-owned and run Mars-Jones Ltd, which became a member of leading palletised freight network Pall-Ex in 2015, has purchased three brand new tractor units and now operates an impressive fleet of 33 vehicles.
The 44 tonne MAN TGX 26-480 6X2 tractor units are the newest members of the company’s fleet to take to the road to enhance and maintain the firm’s service offering and fulfil the growing demands of its customer base.
Anthony Marshall, transport manager at Mars-Jones Ltd commented: “This year we’ve renewed our business focus in order to ensure that our customers’ requirements are at the forefront of our operations. We’ve invested hugely in developing a number of areas of our business, including installing a freight-protecting canopy as well as developing a brand new website that is more customer-friendly.
“In recent months we’ve secured contracts with a number of new quality customers; whilst our existing customers, impressed with our consistently high service, have entrusted us with even more of their business which resulted in our freight volumes from July to September this year increasing by an impressive 20 per cent compared to the same period last year.
“Our three new units will enhance our ability to continue delivering the excellent service that our customers deserve and have grown accustomed to since using us as their chosen distribution providers.”
Kevin Buchanan, managing director at Pall-Ex Group added: “Thriving and ambitious members such as Mars-Jones Ltd are the power behind the Pall-Ex network. I’m delighted by their continuing success, which leads to further opportunities for members and customers of our quality partnership.”
